Missouri State guard Marshall to have knee surgery

Missouri State guard Marcus Marshall, the team's leading scorer, is out indefinitely after tearing the meniscus in his right knee during a weekend overtime loss to No. 5 Wichita State.

The sophomore will have surgery Wednesday to repair the tear. Marshall's average of 14.3 points per game leads Missouri State (12-4, 2-2 Missouri Valley), which visits Indiana State on Wednesday . Marshall was the conference freshman of the year last season.
