Georgia Tech big man Carter out indefinitely

Georgia Tech has won four of five heading into ACC play, but the Yellow Jackets suffered a tough personnel loss on Thursday.

Sophomore big man Robert Carter tore his meniscus in Sunday's game at Charlotte and is out indefinitely. There is no timetable for his return, and he will undergo surgery next week.

Carter, a 6-foot-8 Georgia native, is among the best rebounders in the ACC and was averaging 10.3 points and 9.3 rebounds.
