Texas guard Martez Walker was suspended indefinitely from all team activities Friday after he was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly beating his girlfriend in a campus dormitory.
According to campus police, Travis County Emergency Medical Services was called to the dorm Wednesday night, where the victim reported Walker slapped her and punched her four times in the left side.
Martez Walker, who averaged 4.7 points per game for Texas last season, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of assault with injury/dating violence.
