Oregon State incoming freshman men's basketball player Chai Baker suffered an "apparent cardiac-related medical incident" Tuesday morning, according to a release issued by the school Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday at the OSU Basketball Center in Corvallis while Baker was participating in informal preseason drills with teammates.
The school disclosed that as of 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Baker was in critical, but stable condition in an intensive care unit at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
