Over three hours, Tom Gores discussed many topics with the Free Press. The far-ranging discussion included business tales and the story behind several gifts he received.
The conversation turned to the state of the Pistons, his new coach and president of basketball operations Stan Van Gundy and, of course, Greg Monroe’s contract situation.
“We think Greg is a great player... I’d like Greg to really get excited about being in Detroit because he deserves it. He’s really been good to the city.", Gores said. "We’d like Greg to get on board, but he’s got time to think about it and we should give him that time.”
