Detroit Pistons to hire Quentin Richardson for player development

Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Detroit Pistons’ coach has hired Quentin Richardson for a player-development role.

Richardson, 34, played for Van Gundy for two seasons in Orlando. He last played in the NBA in the 2012-13 season and was waived last September, after the Toronto Raptors acquired him in a trade with the New York Knicks.
