Grizzlies' Johnson arrested on domestic assault

Grizzlies forward James Johnson was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of domestic assault.

Johnson, 27, was apprehended by Memphis police shortly after 3 a.m. following a dispute with his wife. Johnson’s wife called police after an altercation in which she alleged to have been hit in the face with an open hand and choked.

Police charged Johnson with domestic assault-bodily harm. He’s scheduled to appear in court Monday at 9 a.m.
