After 5-11 rookie Shane Larkin made his debut Monday, the inevitable comparisons to J.J. Barea will begin. They should be tempered, somewhat, Rick Carlisle said.
"I think there are things about Barea's game that every sub-6-foot point guard can learn from," Carlisle said. "The plan is not to clone J.J. Barea into Larkin. They are different players and different people with different personalities."
Larkin had three points, three assists and three steals in nine minutes in his pro debut against Philadelphia.
