C.J. McCollum is reconnecting with Pierre Jackson, E.J. Singler, Dallas Lauderdale and Richard Howell during his rehabilitation assignment with the Idaho Stampede of the NBA's Developmental League.
But the Portland Trail Blazers' first-round pick doesn't expect the reunion with his fellow Stampeders to last long.
McCollum, who is returning from a second broken left foot in the last year, played for the Stampede on Friday night and will play again tonight against Rio Grande, then head back to Portland.
Assuming all goes well this weekend, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound guard expects to make his NBA debut as early as Tuesday in Sacramento.
