After a positive CT scan on his broken left foot on Wednesday, Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum has been cleared for three-on-three play.
The CT scan results were sent to Dr. Robert Andrews in North Carolina. Even though McCollum has yet to actually speak to Dr. Andrews, he was aware that the results were good before the team sent out the scan.
“I feel really good,” McCollum said. “I’m happy that I’m making significant progress. I’ll just continue to work to get back healthy as soon as possible.”
During this rehabilitation period, the Trail Blazers and McCollum have been sure not to issue an estimated time for his return to full action. On Thursday night, McCollum said he has a date planned, but that was as far as he would go.
