The Orlando Magic have waived forward Hedo Turkoglu, General Manager Rob Hennigan announced today.
He was due to make $12 million this season but by waiving him before Jan. 7, only $6 million will be paid out by the Magic.
Turkoglu has appeared in 897 regular season games during his NBA career with Sacramento, San Antonio, Orlando, Toronto and Phoenix, averaging 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 28.5 minutes, while shooting .381 from three-point range.
Turkoglu played in 497 regular season games with Orlando from 2004-09 and 2010-13, averaging 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 32.7 minutes.
