In a mild surprise, the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday assigned second-year point guard Marquis Teague to the Iowa Energy, their Development League affiliate.
The surprise comes from the Bulls historically frowning upon this avenue for development, believing that Tom Thibodeau-led practices are more instructional.
Teague is averaging 1.2 points and 0.8 assists in 8.9 minutes during nine appearances. The Bulls selected him with the 29th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft.
