The Hawks moved Paul Millsap to the bench — at least temporarily.
Gustavo Ayon started at center, and Al Horford moved to power forward for Friday’s game against the 76ers. The lineup change was the first of the season for the Hawks.
“If you would say what is the biggest reason, it’s working and trying to get as many good combinations (on the floor),” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “To be honest, this might be short-lived. This is not a ‘he is coming off the bench for the rest of the season’ decision."
