After signing former Temple standout Khalif Wyatt a shot at a roster spot, Philadelphia has signed another local product, power forward Brandon Davies. The deal was first reported by Greg Wrubell of KSL Radio in Utah.
Davies, who grew up in Philadelphia, spent the past four seasons at Brigham Young University. The 22-year-old was signed by the Los Angeles Clippers on September 5th, and after spending the preseason with the team, was waived earlier this week.
The deal is non-guaranteed, and sources say Rodney Williams was officially released to make the move possible.
Davies acquisition now places the Sixers at the 15-man contract limit.
