The 76ers said goodbye to Royce White, Khalif Wyatt, Vander Blue, and Mac Koshwal on Thursday. The four were waived a day after the team's final preseason game, a 125-102 loss to the Timberwolves.
The Sixers' roster now stands at 16 players. NBA teams must trim their rosters to 15 players by 5 p.m. Monday.
White's release was perhaps the biggest surprise. The power forward, acquired in a July trade with the Houston Rockets, was the 16th overall pick in the 2012 draft. His anxiety disorder contributed to his failure to play in the NBA last season.
There's a chance that these players could be signed to the Sixers' NBA Development League team, the Delaware 87ers, if they clear waivers.
