Lakers' Xavier Henry injures Achilles in practice

Xavier Henry suffered an injury to his left Achilles tenon in Monday’s practice. The results of Henry's MRI are pending, but the team suspects it to be a rupture.

Henry’s injury occurred during the team’s 3-on-3-on-3 drill. Head coach Byron Scott ended practice shortly after. He had players shoot free throws before leaving the gym.

“He just made a move just like most guys do when they mess up their Achilles,” Scott said. “Nobody hit him or anything like that. He pretty much said to us that he heard a pop and we helped him in the locker room."
