Dwight Howard returns, leads Rockets over Nuggets

Dwight Howard had 26 points and 13 rebounds, James Harden had a triple-double, and the Rockets overcame an early deficit for a 108-96 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.

Howard, who missed the previous 11 games with a strained right knee, also reached a milestone, eclipsing 10,000 rebounds in his career. Harden had 24 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds for his third career triple-double. He almost didn't get it, grabbing his 10th rebound with less than a second left in the game.

Ty Lawson had 19 points and 12 assists, and Darrell Arthur had a season-high 20 points for the Nuggets.

Grizzlies 120 Sixers 115 (OT)

Mike Conley hit the tying 3-pointer to send the game into overtime and scored a career-high 36 points, leading the Memphis Grizzlies past the Philadelphia 76ers.

Zach Randolph had 24 points and 11 rebounds. Conley was 13 of 22 from the floor, hit five 3-pointers and had nine assists.

Michael Carter-Williams had an empty triple-double for the Sixers with 16 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds. But a handful of turnovers and poor shot selection helped doom the Sixers in the fourth and OT.

Clippers 106 Bucks 111

Brandon Knight scored 22 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo added 20, and the Bucks beat the Los Angeles Clippers 111-106.

The Bucks held Los Angeles to 43 percent shooting. Blake Griffin missed eight of 12 shots and Chris Paul missed 10 of 15 while committing six turnovers for the second straight game.

Matt Barnes scored a season-high 26 points and JJ Redick added 25 for Los Angeles.

Pistons 95 Kings 90

Greg Monroe scored 24 points, Josh Smith had 21 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots, and the Pistons beat the Sacramento Kings.

The Pistons used a 24-14 advantage in the third quarter and never relinquished the lead in registering back-to-back wins for only the second time all season.

Rudy Gay made four 3-pointers and scored 20, and also added eight rebounds and eight assists for the Kings, who shot 35 percent.
