Bryant scores 26, Lakers rally past Jazz

Kobe Bryant scored 26 points and Carlos Boozer added 19, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 98-91 preseason victory over the Utah Jazz on Sunday night.

Boozer also had nine rebounds and six of the Lakers' 17 steals. Los Angeles converted 29 Jazz turnovers into 34 points and outscored them 17-8 in second-chance points.

Alec Burks scored 21 for the Jazz, who had only one field goal after his jumper with 5:16 remaining.

Rockets 90 Warriors 83

Dwight Howard had 11 points and eight rebounds in his return from a knee injury. He was 5 of 8 from the field in 16 first-half minutes. James Harden had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists in his return from a hip injury to help Houston improve to 4-1.

Golden State, which rested guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to get a better look at younger players, lost its second straight game to fall to 4-2. Justin Holliday scored 18 points, hitting 7 of 13 shots, including 4 of 8 3s. Nemanja Nedovic added 16 points in place of Curry.

Bulls 101 Hornets 96

Derrick Rose had 17 points in almost 28 minutes and saw his first action in the fourth quarter as he comes back from a right knee injury 10 games into last season.

Kirk Hinrich scored 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting and Pau Gasol added 15 points and 10 rebounds to boost the Bulls (4-2).

Lance Stephenson and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led the Hornets (3-3) with 14 points.

Thunder 94 Timberwolves 112

Mo Williams scored 19 points, and Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin and Robbie Hummel each added 13 points for Minnesota (2-2). Martin, playing against his former team, made his preseason debut before 16,901 fans at the BOK Center.

Perry Jones scored 21 points for Oklahoma City (2-4). Russell Westbrook had 11 points in 23 minutes, and Serge Ibaka finished with 12 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes. Oklahoma City had 22 turnovers.
