The Washington Wizards continued filling out the back end of their roster by re-signing guard Marcus Thornton on a one-year deal for the veteran’s minimum.
Thornton, 29, averaged 9.7 points in 61 games between the Houston Rockets and Wizards last season.
Thornton will serve as a backup at shooting guard behind Bradley Beal.
