Days after Andrew Smith was readmitted to the hospital following a bone marrow transplant, his wife is asking for prayers and support after receiving the news that the former Butler player's condition has worsened.
In a blog posted Monday, Samantha Smith explains that the bone marrow transplant that Andrew Smith received has failed, and his disease has progressed. The 25-year-old former academic All-American for the Bulldogs has been battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma for two years.
