Florida forward Alex Murphy partially tore the plantar fascia in his right foot during an exhibition game Thursday night against Palm Beach Atlantic.
The Gators said Friday he will miss 4 to 6 weeks.
A 6-foot-8 senior who transferred from Duke to Florida after two-plus years, Murphy averaged 5.1 points in 23 games for the Gators last season.
