Wizards officials met with Tomas Satoransky, 23, earlier this month when his native Czech Republic played against Marcin Gortat’s Polish national team in preparation for the upcoming EuroBasket tournament and Washington expects him to join the team next summer.
Satoransky, an athletic 6-foot-7 point guard, played on the Wizards’ summer league team in Las Vegas after they selected him 32nd overall in the 2012 draft, but he decided to stay overseas.
Satoransky is now entering the second and final year of his contract with FC Barcelona in the Spanish League.
