Five-star guard Tyus Battle has decided to play for Syracuse. Battle announced the decision on Twitter on Monday morning.
Battle, ranked No. 24 in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports, is an attacking guard who can score off of the dribble and make tough baskets in the lane. He's also an absolutely terrific defensive player.
This is the Syracuse's first major commitment since it was sanctioned by the NCAA, and also the first since Jim Boeheim announced his eventual retirement plan.
