The Grizzlies recently discussed a potential trade to acquire former All-Star shooting guard Joe Johnson from the Brooklyn Nets, according to league sources.
The teams could not find a workable deal and have tabled discussions.
Albeit costly, Johnson would represent more playmaking and shooting that the Griz lacked on the perimeter last season.
