Hornets acquire Batum from Portland for Henderson and Vonleh

Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced Wednesday that the team has acquired forward Nicolas Batum from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for guard Gerald Henderson and forward Noah Vonleh.

The 6-8 Batum played in 481 games for the Trail Blazers, starting 428, with career averages of 11.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 30.8 minutes.

Last season, Batum saw action in 71 games, starting all 71. He averaged 9.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 33.5 minutes.

Henderson spent six seasons in Charlotte after being selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. In 391 games, he averaged 12.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27.5 minutes.

Vonleh was selected by the Hornets with the ninth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. As a rookie last season, he appeared in 25 games with averages of 3.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 10.4 minutes.
