Memphis transfer Kuran Iverson has been granted a waiver to play immediately at Rhode Island.
The 6-foot-9 Iverson struggled at Memphis, averaging just 4.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2014-15.
Iverson transferred to Rhode Island in January and was expected to sit out the first semester this season. He is the cousin of former NBA star Allen Iverson.
