While the Clippers played Friday in Dallas, Blake Griffin worked closer toward a return in Los Angeles.
Head coach Doc Rivers said Griffin “went very hard” during a workout back home, and while Rivers wouldn’t indicate whether or not that means Griffin will be ready Sunday against the Rockets, he didn’t rule that possibility out.
Even before Wednesday’s game against the Thunder, Rivers described Griffin as “very close” to a return, but not “very close enough” to have made the two-game road trip the Clippers just wrapped up Friday.
