The Washington Wizards officially signed guard Toure Murry to a 10-day contract Thursday morning, filling their vacant roster spot with the former D-Leaguer at least temporarily.
Murry received the news while at practice for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers Wednesday night and jumped on a flight to Houston and then to Washington.
The 6-5 Murry can play both guard positions. He averaged 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and six assists in 23 games in D-League stints with the Idaho Stampede and Rio Grande Valley this season.
