Rockets' Howard has bone marrow injection in knee

Rockets center Dwight Howard underwent a bone marrow aspirate injection in his right knee on Wednesday, the second procedure he has undergone this season to treat the wear on his knee cartilage that has given his trouble since training camp.

Howard, however, is not out because of the issue that was treated on Wednesday. The procedure on Wednesday was not to treat the edema (swelling) that has built up on the bone in the knee.

The Rockets announced that Howard will be reevaluated in four weeks, but since he is also expected to begin rehabilitation immediately, he will be evaluated throughout that time period.
