Butler takes interim tag off coach Holtmann

Chris Holtmann has officially replaced Brandon Miller as Butler's men's basketball coach, the school announced Friday. He's the Bulldogs' 23rd coach in history.

Miller had been on a 12-week medical leave of absence (that expired within the past week) for an unspecified condition.

Holtmann was the head coach at Gardner-Webb from 2010 to 2013, at which point he left that school to serve under Miller at Butler. The 43-year-old has the Bulldogs off to a 10-4 start this season.
