Hornets assign Jeffery Taylor to Austin Spurs of NBA D-League

Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has assigned forward Jeffery Taylor to the Austin Spurs of the NBA D-League, pursuant to the flexible assignment rule.

The flexible assignment rule was used because the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Hornets’ D-League affiliate, had two NBA “wing” players on assignment at the time the Hornets initiated Taylor’s assignment to the D-League.

Taylor, a 6-7 forward in his third season in Charlotte, has seen action in three games for the Hornets this season, averaging 1.0 point and 1.3 rebounds in 6.0 minutes. He missed the season’s first 24 contests due to an NBA suspension.
