Ellis upstages Rose as Mavs top Bulls in 2OT

Monta Ellis hit three free throws with 1.2 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie it, then made his only 3-point shot of the game for a go-ahead basket in the second overtime that lifted the Mavericks past the Chicago Bulls 132-129.

Ellis finished with 38 points, including his trio of free throws to make it 108-all. Chicago's Derrick Rose banked in a 3-pointer at the overtime buzzer to force double OT.

Dirk Nowitzki added 22 despite shooting just 8 for 22 as Dallas won its fourth in row.

Pau Gasol led the Bulls with 29 points and 14 rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 23 points, Mike Dunleavy 20 and Rose 18.

Bucks 108 Cavaliers 111

Mike Miller came off the bench and provided Cleveland with a much-needed spark in the second half, helping the Cavaliers to their fourth straight win, 111-108 over the young-and-hungry Milwaukee Bucks.

Kyrie Irving scored 28 points, Kevin Love had 27 and LeBron James finished with 26 points and 10 assists for the Cavs, who have quickly turned things around following a four-game losing streak.

Brandon Knight scored 24 and 19-year-old rookie Jabari Parker, the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, had 22 points for Milwaukee.

Celtics 105 Hawks 109

Kyle Korver scored 24 points, and the Hawks rallied to beat the struggling Boston Celtics 109-105.

Paul Millsap added 19 points for Atlanta, which has won three straight and five of six. Korver went 6 for 7 from 3-point range.

Boston has lost five straight and eight of nine. Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger had 25 points apiece for the Celtics, and Rajon Rondo had a season-high 19 assists.

Lakers 106 Pistons 96

Vintage Kobe Bryant showed up, albeit briefly, in the third quarter to hoist Los Angeles out of its rut for a 106-96 victory.

Bryant scored all 12 of his points in a row. His burst helped the Lakers take an 81-65 lead heading into the final period. The Pistons held the NBA's leading scorer without a point in the first half, but still lost their ninth in a row.

Los Angeles had six players score in double figures, including each of its starters. Jordan Hill scored 22 points, and reserve Nick Young had 19. Josh Smith led Detroit with 18 points, and Andre Drummond added eight points and 13 rebounds.
