Lakers rally past Hornets for 1st win

Byron Scott got his first victory as Lakers coach after they rallied to beat the Charlotte Hornets 107-92 on Sunday night.

Kobe Bryant and Jeremy Lin each scored 21 points, and Carlos Boozer added 16 as the Lakers left Philadelphia as the NBA's only winless team at 0-7.

Al Jefferson scored 23 points and Kemba Walker added 17 for the Hornets, whose two-game winning streak ended.

Nuggets 100 Trail Blazers 116

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points and had nine rebounds in the Trail Blazers' 116-100 victory over the Denver Nuggets. The Blazers made 16 of 31 3-point attempts and all five starters scored in double figures.

Wesley Matthews added 21 points, making five of 13 3-point attempts.

Ty Lawson had 18 points and Kenneth Faried led the Nuggets with 19 points.

Heat 105 Mavericks 96

Luol Deng scored a season-high 30 points, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade added 20 apiece and the Heat stayed perfect against Dallas since the 2011 NBA Finals with a 105-96 victory.

The Heat have won seven straight regular-season games against Dallas since the Mavericks took three in a row in the finals to capture their first championship.

Monta Ellis led the Mavericks with 23 points. Dirk Nowitzki scored 17 points, and Tyson Chandler had season highs with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Kings 93 Thunder 101

Reggie Jackson scored 11 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to help Oklahoma City beat the Sacramento Kings 101-93. Jackson scored eight points in the final 2:17, going 6 of 7 from the free throw line.

Jeremy Lamb scored 17 points, Serge Ibaka had 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for the Thunder (2-5), who improved to 2-1 at home.

Rudy Gay had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, and DeMarcus Cousins and Ben McLemore each added 16 points for the Kings (5-2).
