The NBA Development League held its annual draft on Saturday night, with the Grand Rapids Drive selecting Tennessee State's Robert Covington with the first overall pick.
The Drive were making their first-ever D-League selection, and they grabbed the 6-foot-9 forward who has spent time with the Houston Rockets and was last year's D-League rookie of the year.
