Florida State adds guards Beasley, Bacon

Dwayne Bacon, No. 40 in the ESPN 100, and Malik Beasley, No. 51, committed to Florida State while on official visits Friday, making it a huge night of recruiting for coach Leonard Hamilton and his staff.

Bacon, a four-star small forward, selected the Seminoles over USC, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, SMU and South Florida. The wing is known for his ability to score in a variety of ways. He has great size and matching upside.

Beasley, a shooting guard, selected Florida State over finalists Connecticut, VCU and Wake Forest. He is an athletic guard who makes plays in the open court, slashes to the rim and knocks down open jumpers, and is a multiple-position defender.
