James Southerland signs non-guaranteed deal with Blazers

The Trail Blazers have signed small forward James Southerland to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract, according to CSNNW Trail Blazers and NBA Insider Chris Haynes.

Southerland will be at Trail Blazers training camp fighting for a roster spot, competing against Victor Claver and Dorell Wright.

An undrafted free agent in 2013 out of Syracuse University, Southerland began his NBA career with the Charlotte Bobcats; he was waived by the Bobcats after playing in just one game.
