Kenny Kaminski tweeted Saturday that he has decided to transfer from Michigan State, but Tom Izzo clarified the end of Kaminski's MSU career in a statement released Monday.
Kaminski has been released, Izzo said in the statement, and it was much more pointed than the typical officially released statement.
"Despite multiple opportunities, Kenny Kaminski could not live up to the obligations necessary to be a part of our program," Izzo said in the statement.
The 6-foot-8 sophomore forward from Medina, Ohio averaged 4.9 points in 12.2 minutes a game last season for the Spartans.
