Kyle Lowry agrees to re-sign with Raptors

Kyle Lowry, who led the Toronto Raptors to their first post-season appearance in five years, said Wednesday on Twitter he’s staying put.

Lowry’s deal is US$48-million through four years with an opt-out after the third year, according to multiple reports. League rules restrict signings or trades until July 10, but players and their agents are allowed to confirm agreements.

Re-signing Lowry was a No. 1 priority for the Raptors after a stellar season. The 28-year-old averaged career highs last season with 17.9 points-per-game and 7.4 assists-per-game.
