As expected, Lakers guard Nick Young has opted out of the second year of his contract.
Through 64 games, Young averaged 17.9 points a game while shooting 43.5% from the field and 38.6% from three-point range.
Though the 29-year old scorer will forgo $1.2 million with the Lakers to land a bigger contract, he'd happily re-sign and stay in his hometown.
