Ron Adams, who brought a veteran presence to Brad Stevens's staff in his first year as an NBA head coach, is leaving Boston to take a similar job with the Golden State Warriors.
The 66-year-old Adams had two years remaining on his contract with the Celtics and told the Globe that leaving was a "difficult decision."
Adams is from California and attended Fresno Pacific University.
