Former Rockets star Yao Ming said Friday’s ESPN report that he would attempt to put together a group to purchase the Los Angeles Clippers was the first he heard of the possibility of him being part of an effort to buy the franchise.
“I just heard about it in the morning my time,” Yao said Saturday via email. “I really don’t know where this news came from.”
