Kevin Ware, who gained national attention nearly a year ago to the day when he suffered a gruesome broken leg in a win over Duke in the Elite Eight will transfer to another school to finish his career.
"We wish Kevin Godspeed," said Louisville coach Rick Pitino.
Ware averaged just 1.7 points in nine games before suffering an injury to the same right leg in a game against Missouri State on Dec. 17. He decided to shut it down, so he would be able to seek a medical redshirt.
