Kevin McHale told his players that point guard Pat Beverley would be out indefinitely. It was quickly understood that indefinitely could mean out for the season.
Beverley, who could be out for a few weeks or for the remainder of the season depending on the treatment procedure necessary, suffered a torn cartilage in his right knee on Thursday, an MRI revealed.
Another examination is scheduled for Monday to determine the extent of the injury and the procedure that will be needed.
