Chris Jans, Wichita State's associate head coach, will be the next head men's basketball coach at Bowling Green, according to a person with direct knowledge of the hire.
The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the hire is not yet public.
Jans has been Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall's right-hand man since Marshall arrived in 2007 and has been among the most instrumental figures in the Shockers' rise to national prominence.
