Knicks part ways with World Peace, Udrih

New York Knicks President and General Manager Steve Mills announced today that the team has waived guard Beno Udrih and forward Metta World Peace.

“We are disappointed that it did not work out for Beno and Metta here in New York,” Mills said. “We thank them for their contributions this season and wish them well.”

Udrih, 6-3, 210-pounds, averaged 5.6 points and 3.5 assists over 19.0 minutes in 31 games for the Knicks this season after signing as a free agent on Aug. 8, 2013.

World Peace, 6-7, 250-pounds, averaged 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds over 13.4 minutes in 29 games for the Knicks this season after signing as a free agent on Jul. 16, 2013.

Both departing players recently were unhappy with their lack of playing time.
