South Carolina point guard Johnson out, needs foot surgery

South Carolina point guard Tyrone Johnson, a former Villanova transfer, is out indefinitely after suffering a fracture in his right foot. The injury, suffered during Wednesday's loss to Texas A&M, will require surgery.

Johnson, a 6-foot-3 New Jersey native, has been a bright spot for South Carolina in his first season after transferring. He was averaging 11.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists before the injury.
