Lee, Bayless dealt in three-team trade

The Memphis Grizzlies have acquired guard Courtney Lee and have sent guard Jerryd Bayless to the Boston Celtics as part of a three-team trade that also includes the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Boston Celtics have acquired guard Jerryd Bayless from Memphis and forward Ryan Gomes from Oklahoma City. The Celtics have sent Lee and a 2016 second round draft pick to the Memphis Grizzlies. In a related transaction, the Celtics have waived Gomes.

As part of the deal, Memphis have traded two conditional second round draft picks to Oklahoma City, the 2014 Philadelphia 76ers’ second-round pick (conditional), which was owned by the Grizzlies, and the Grizzlies’ 2017 second-round draft selection (conditional).

Bayless, a 6’3” guard, has appeared in 30 games for the Grizzlies this season averaging 8.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game.

Lee (6-5, 200) joins the Grizzlies with career averages of 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists on .446 shooting (.387 3FG shooting) in 25.9 minutes in 395 games (174 starts) with the Orlando Magic, New Jersey Nets, Houston Rockets and Boston Celtics.

During the 2013-14 season, Gomes appeared in five games for the Thunder and averaged 1.2 points in 6.9 minutes per game.
