Utah State reinstates Jarred Shaw

Utah State men's basketball head coach Stew Morrill announced Friday that senior center Jarred Shaw has been reinstated to the team and eligible for play immediately after missing five games for a violation of team rules.

Shaw, a 6-10 senior from Dallas, Texas (Carter HS/Oklahoma State), currently leads the Aggies in scoring, while ranking second in rebounding and blocked shots at 16.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game.

Shaw was initially suspended on Dec. 16, and missed five of the Aggies' games, in which they went 4-1, having their five-game winning streak snapped with a 73-72 loss at Air Force on Jan. 1 in USU's Mountain West Conference debut.
