Russ Smith on Tuesday made it clear where he stands. He tallied 24 points, nine assists and four steals and helped 10th-ranked Louisville cruise past Central Florida 90-65 in their American Athletic Conference opener in front of 7,094 at CFE Arena in Orlando.
Sixth man Luke Hancock added 16 points off the bench, and Montrezl Harrell avoided foul trouble and notched 15 points and eight rebounds. Louisville totaled 28 assists on 34 made baskets.
