Duke redshirt sophomore Alex Murphy has decided to transfer at the end of the semester, according to a source close to the situation.
Murphy has appeared in five of Duke’s nine games this season, averaging 6.6 minutes and one point and rebound per game. He did not play in Duke’s most recent game against Michigan.
Murphy was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2011 from Saint Mark’s School in South Kingstown, R.I. After redshirting, he played sparingly last year, averaging 2.1 points and one rebound in 6.3 minutes per game.
